We are proud to announce that Mithras is now an official spin-off of ETH Zürich, one of the most renowned technical universities worldwide.

The ETH Zürich, Switzerland’s number one center for education, science and innovation, is one of the most prestigious universities in the world. In the 2019 edition of the QS World University Rankings, ETH Zürich was ranked 7th best university globally and 3rd best in the field of technology and engineering. In its long and eventful history, ETH hosted 21 Nobel Prize winners including Albert Einstein and Wolfgang Pauli. With a yearly budget of 1.8 billion CHF and over 30.000 student, researchers and staff, ETH is producing world class science in the heart of Switzerland.

But ETH is not only thriving in fundamental research but also closely connected to the industry and the market. Since 1996, over 407 spin-offs were founded with the mission to commercialize cutting-edge research. The ETH spin-off label is awarded to start-ups that have innovative solutions for relevant problems by applying state-of-the art research and technology. In return, ETH provides consulting and advice, infrastructure and an established network of contacts. Many of the 400+ ETH start-ups have grown into globally operating companies that are leading in their respective field. With the admission of the official spin-off label, Mithras is now also part of this club of entrepreneurs. We are happy and proud to wear this label of excellence on our mission to create disruptive innovations for the wearable and medical device market.
